Job Description

We are seeking originating branch managers with existing books of business and experience managing successful teams and P&Ls.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Recruit and coach to maximum performance levels, loan officers and operations personnel.

•Create and execute a business development plan to capture sales and grow market share (emphasis: customer satisfaction and retention).

•Build the branch presence through community involvement, building/strengthening relationships with referral sources and customers.

• Ensure loan officers are trained and have the tools they need to succeed, reducing ramp-up time and resulting in immediate production.
• Oversee and facilitate the origination of purchase and refinance loan transactions, including FHA/VA, Fixed and Adjustable Rate loans, 203K, Manufactured Homes and State Bond Loans.

•Conduct pre approvals, complete loan applications and provide guidance to customer through the loan process and beyond.

•Communicate loan status updates to all necessary parties.

•Conduct team meetings; provide monthly reporting to mortgage division’s corporate office.

• Work with Mortgage Division in monitoring lender programs and requirements.

•Communicate with Senior Management on training needs and issues.

• Responsible for regulatory compliance and quality control.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

•Minimum 1-3 years as a branch manager

•Minimum 4 – 5 years of application and processing experience or equivalent mortgage background

•Strong computer background with 4 to 5 years experience in mortgage software

•Current knowledge of closing and title requirements

•Current knowledge of loan processing and automated underwriting systems

•Current knowledge of FHLMC/FNMA/FHA/VA and industry underwriting guidelines

•Current knowledge of self employed borrowers, partnership and corporation tax return analysis

•Strong computer background with 2 to 3 years experience in mortgage software and working knowledge of Word for Windows and Excel

•Strong mortgage operations background

•Valid driver’s license and transportation
