Come join our development team and work on new exciting projects! Position reports to our Newark, OH headquarters, but work can generally be done remotely. Our team is small — so you’ll get to work on various projects and interact at all levels within the company.
The primary objective of the Encompass Administrator is configuration and customizations of the company’s loan origination systems. This position requires in depth knowledge of the loan origination workflow and the job function of all operational roles that participate in that workflow. This position will work closely with senior and executive management to evaluate business process data integrity and compliance issues as they relate to the loan origination system.
The following duties would be applicable:
Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Ellie Mae’s Encompass Banker Loan Origination System and all types of Encompass business rules, forms and tools, milestones, personas, roles, and eFolder setup functions, including documents and all condition types.
*Ensure Encompass is functioning consistently in accordance with applicable laws and regulations relating to the mortgage lending industry and information security.
*Design, document, and implement project solutions by creating/modifying system workflows, loan templates, closing cost scenarios,
*Maintain users, roles, profiles, security settings, and loan setup settings. Maintain and audit user access and security.
*Manage system change analysis, planning, development, testing and implementation of projects and tasks.
*Become familiar with interfacing systems to Encompass and how to troubleshoot those types of issues; maintain integration of 3rd party vendors and services.
*Develop working relationships with support department at Ellie Mae including professional services group, Mavent, and other compliance affiliated service departments. Be familiar with opening cases.
*Work alongside multiple departments within the organization and outside vendors to understand business processes and functions and seek areas of opportunity for process-flow improvement.
*Review and maintain Policies & Procedures for Information Security and Disaster Recovery Integration with other key Compliance Management System Policies
*Any other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
*Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in computer science or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Achievement of Certified Encompass Administrator status
*Minimum 2+ years’ recent experience administering Encompass Banker LOS for a medium to large user base
*2 + years of mortgage industry experience with strong knowledge of general loan origination software and processes
*Working experience of Encompass Administration Settings, including but not limited to: Business Rules, Triggers, Forms, Personas, Workflows, Conditions.
*Skilled in configuring Milestones and Personas, building Input forms, reports, dashboards, views and advanced coding of business rules
*Conceptual familiarity with Encompass Partner Connect APIs is required
*1+ years understanding and interpreting plugin code
*In-depth understanding of the mortgage industry and loan origination life cycle, with thorough understanding of applicable laws and regulations relating to mortgage lending.
*Ability to read, understand, interpret and change existing business rules, triggers, workflows and processes.
*Innate ability to function in a team environment and embrace its diversity.
*Good interpersonal and communication skills
*Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to read and comprehend complicated instructions, short correspondence, memos and to use good grammar.
*Ability to work independently and solve issues and problems without intervention.
*Willing to support release upgrade implementations during non-business hours.
*Willing to support Help Desk operations during non-typical business hours, which may include an occasional holiday, for peak business periods
