Job Summary:
As a Bookkeeper with Mortgage Accounting Experience at FM Home Loans, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with mortgage accounting principles. You will work closely with our finance team to support day-to-day financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Manage and reconcile mortgage-related accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Record and categorize financial transactions related to mortgage activities, including loan disbursements, payments, and interest calculations.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial information and ensure the accuracy of recorded transactions.
Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and accounting standards related to mortgages.
Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.
Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify and correct discrepancies.
Work closely with auditors during external audits to provide necessary documentation and explanations.
Borrower payment processing
Payroll processing

Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience with Accounting for Mortgage Bankers (AMB) a plus.
Exceptional problem solving, organization and attention to detail skill set.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment.
Must be detail-oriented to ensure accurate deliverables.
Must be fast learner with proactive attitude and able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.
