Join our dynamic startup, Hitch, as the Home Equity Lending Operations Manager, and play a pivotal role in shaping the operational foundation of our innovative home equity mortgage company. In this hands-on position, you will lead the charge in building and refining our lending operations, ensuring compliance, driving efficiency, and harnessing technology to streamline processes.

As the Home Equity Lending Manager, you’ll be at the helm of our lending operations department. Your role encompasses overseeing the end-to-end process, from application to servicing, while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards. You will lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team, driving them towards excellence. Moreover, you’ll spearhead the integration of technology within the department to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the daily operations of the home equity lending department, shaping its growth and performance.
Direct the processing, underwriting, closing, and servicing of home equity loans.
Ensure unwavering compliance with home equity lending regulations and industry best practices.
Design and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Motivate and guide your team, fostering professional development.
Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline the home equity origination process.
Stay abreast of evolving home equity lending regulations and industry trends.
Drive the development and implementation of technology solutions, from software selection to maintenance.
Ensure that technology aligns with departmental needs and drives productivity.
Identify and execute opportunities to leverage technology for process enhancement.
Be hands on and configure our loan origination system Byte and its integration into our proprietary point of sale system.
Direct the work of our lead engineer on all integrations and build outs
Qualifications:

Over 5 years of hands-on experience in home equity or mortgage lending operations.
Profound grasp of home equity lending regulations and compliance prerequisites.
Track record of successful team leadership and motivation.

Salary: $73,000.00 – $98,000.00 per year
