The position of Correspondent Account Executive will be responsible for production growth in a designated region. The Correspondent Account Executive is an outside sales position where the majority of the work duties are performed away from FGMC’s offices or incumbent’s home.  The position will require moderate travel in the field and to clients’ places of business and attendance at local, regional or national mortgage professional trade or secondary conferences. The Account Executive will work in a team environment supporting each other and the needs of all Correspondent lending clients.  The ability to build and maintain relationships in this role is key.  Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Represent First Guaranty Mortgage Corporation in a professional manner
  • Acquire new clients through face to face, phone and email communication
  • Manage customer relationships in territories that are assigned to you
  • Network and prospect for new clients and identify opportunities to cultivate new client relationships
  • Work with regional and national sales manager to forecast monthly / annual production
  • Develop strategies to enhance relationships within the assigned territory
  • Be able to interact well with both clients and operations staff
  • Manage the client approval and recertification process
  • Keep current on company training, product knowledge and First Guaranty Mortgage policies
  • Provide world class customer service to all First Guaranty Mortgage customers
  • Represent FGMC at local, state and national conferences
  • Must have excellent written and communication skills
  • Must have solid negotiation skills
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Travel is required
  • 4+ years of prior mortgages sales and business development experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university of college
  • Previous correspondent lending experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven relationship management experience
  • Preferred – has a current book of business
